Originally from small town British Columbia, he graduated from Emily Carr University in Vancouver, spent 10 years in Toronto, and is now living in London (England, not Ontario, since everyone always asks).
John specialises in environmental graphic design and entertainment, creating immersive visual experiences that tell stories across physical spaces and screen. His work spans large-format environmental graphics, spatial branding, and integrated motion graphics for major productions including Netflix, Disney, FX, Hulu, and Warner Brothers, alongside commercials for Carolina Herrera, the NHL, Coinbase, and National Car Rental. He has also shaped the brands and environments of beloved Toronto institutions including SCHOOL Restaurant, Motel, SoYoung, and KROFT.
With a deep understanding of how design functions at scale — from vinyl murals and vehicle wraps to branded retail and hospitality spaces — John brings both the creative vision and technical knowledge to take projects from concept through to physical reality. A confident leader and art director, he has managed creative teams across high-pressure production environments while maintaining exceptional standards across print, digital, motion, and environmental touchpoints. His personal shirt brand Weenie keeps his creative instincts sharp and his aesthetic distinctly his own.
